How should you activate your account for first-time access to YouProvide?

The new user will receive an email inviting them to activate their new account:

Click on the link in the email to proceed with activating your YouProvide account:

How the user proceeds, depends on the preferred login method going forward:

  • A. If the invited email address is a valid Microsoft365 account and you wish to automatically log in
  • B. If you prefer to log in with email/password/SMS code

A. Microsoft Authentication

If you prefer using Microsoft authentication, simply click the Cancel button. No need to activate your new account. However, an application administrator from your organization must first approve the YouProvide app for external authentication. The administrator can do this by visiting https://app.youprovide.nl and clicking on Continue with Microsoft. In the following screen, the administrator can provide approval.:

From that moment onwards, employees within your organization can log in using Microsoft.

You will be directed to the standard login screen:

Click on the button labeled Continue with Microsoft to log in directly with your existing Microsoft account.

B. Create a new account with password and SMS verification

In the YouProvide environment, a new account will be created for you. YouProvide utilizes the secure environment of Microsoft Azure AD for this process.

Please enter your email address. This is necessary for Microsoft to send a verification code to you:

Enter the code you received from Microsoft and click on Verify Code:

You can double-check if the correct email address has been used. If ok, please select Continue.

Choose a new, secure password and enter it twice. Make sure to follow these password rules:

  • The password cannot start or end with a space.
  • It must be between 8 and 64 characters long.
  • Include at least 3 of the following:
    • a lowercase letter
    • an uppercase letter
    • a number
    • a symbol

Click on Continue to set your password.

You will now be directed to the standard login screen:

Log in with your email address and your newly chosen password.

The first time, the system will prompt you to enter your mobile phone number for SMS verification. Select the correct country code and enter your phone number. You will then receive an SMS for verification.

Your account is now activated! For future logins, simply use your email address and password. You will receive an SMS code to enter for login verification.
